Default Blue smoke! HELP

Sapphire 4x4

When i let the car idle for 30 secs or so then pull away i get a quite substantial pile of blue smoke in my rear view mirror But as i continue to drive on theres no more and its still pulling fine. Sometimes going around a roundabout in second then pulling away it does it again. Ive been keeping a close eye on the oil level and that doesnt seem to be dropping any more than normal but i dont realy do that many miles in it. Im not that clued up on in depth engine knowledge but i can grasp the basics Any help or advice on what to do would be much appreciated. Cheers

its at 130,000 at the moment, but i was told by a garage owner that he new of it getting a top end rebuild at 90,000 miles. Im not sure of the exact specific details as i didnt buy it directly from the previous owner. Also, ive been out in it today and it seems to have stopped smoking, i havent gone too far in it tho so maybe it would need warming up a bit more b4 it starts.

Cheers for the info guys, keep it comin! I will check the float play today and get an update up. It doesn't smoke when i put the boot down at the moment, it tends to be more like when i pull away gently and its only doing it when the cars been running for half an hour or so If it does turn out to be a turbo oil seal would that be a job to have a go at myself or would it be recomended to get it in a garage

OK, ive taken off the air filter and checked for oil in the intake section of the turbo (ive been reading up ). Theres no oil but it does seem quite sooty. There is play in the propeller shaft but it is very little, mybe 1/2mm at the most. The propeller spins freely and doesnt catch at all. At the underneath of the turbo i noticed an orange colour substance building up on and around what i think is the oil outlet but i dont know if this is normal or not. Where the turbo bolts on to the manafold there is a white substance building up around the gaskets again im not sure if this is normal. Im considering taking the turbo off completly for more inspection but not sure if theres anything i should do first, or anything i would need to have in order to put it back on i.e new gaskets, seals etc.. any coments more than welcome cheers Guys!!

P.S does the turbo need to be opened up in order to inspect the oil seals?
