Hi,hope someone can help me,ive got a s2 rs turbo,quite standerd,in the really wet weather the other day i was goin along and my cd player started to switch on and off as if a conector was loose so i turned it off to fix when i got home,i turned my car off when i stoped and try to start it again a few minutes later and the battery was flat,started it with jump leads first time,and did the same everytime i turned it off??
i put a brand new battery on it yesterday and it worked fine till 2night in the rain again its done the same!!
I was thinkin it mite be the altinator but the battery light has not come on?

 

sounds like alternater for definate mate.

 

cheers mate,i just rememberd another thing,at one stage when i was drivin the rev counter dropped and didnt work for about a minute?
I think il put a new one on there tomo and see what happens

 

New alternator sorted it!Cheers mate
