Can any one suggest an easy way to replace the quater window black caps on an escort cossie they seem very tight to fit and using a press only marks the cap and help would be appriciated thanks

I did the ones on my fiesta just placed on head of bolt, put a small piece of rag on it then placed a piece of wood against it and gave it one strike with hammer while someone inside the car held a piece of wood against the inside of bolt, didn't damage them, although a couple did take quite a heavy tap with hammer to get on.

 

they are a pig to fit, i done mine with a hammer but its a touchy job.
