Brake-servo Taunus/cortina mk3
Hello,
I bought myself some nice Weber DCOE 45 carbs, but they don't fit, because the brake servo is in the way. Is there anybody who can help me fix this problem. I now it is possible, and often done with the RS2000 mk1 and mk2. But i don't now how. Can i just ditch the servo, or does this effect the presision of my brakes?
Thanks for your help.

How do i post a picture? Don't start talking about "img" and "url" because i don't understand shit about computers.

you can junk the servo and fit a master cylinder from another taunus, but get the whole master cylinder nad actuating rod so it will connect to your brake pedal.
doing this will make the brakes either harder to press, or the pedal go down further or both depending on the size of the master cylinder.
if the pedal is too hard to press, you can add an inline booster that were used on some old fords, but i wouldn't bother. just get used to having a hard brake pedal. it can be funny if you have a modern car with featherlight brakes and you swap between the 2 often and either end up not stopping in the old one or going through the windscreen of the new one

Oke,
I'll try it. And yes, i often switch between a Mondeo V6 autom, and my Taunus, but i like de Taunus more.
Today someone suggested to fit an electronic servo from a Scorpio, but i"m getting some more info about that soon.
Danke schön,
Sven
