I am thinking of purchasing a swirl pot for my series2 but what wondering

A. What they do?
B. Is it worth getting one?
C. Will I gain anything from it?

yes they help prevent air getting into the cooling system,by so called swirling the bubbles around in the pot to eliminate hot spots which would cause head gasket failure, very good investment if you ask me!,think about it why would they make such an invention if they really didnt think it would work!

cheers for that. Was looking through the forums and someone was saying that I could fit a swirl pot to stop the water boiling in my header tank. Do you think this could work?

As the water has only started to boil since i fitted the alloy header tank.

You have a minor leak. I suspect the header tank cap if it didn't do it with the old tank.

if the water is boiling in the tank, then your fan switch isnt workin or your headgasket has blown!

I will check for the fan cutting in but have checked for the head gasket usual signs but its only just started doing it the moment i put the new tank on. Have got a new standard tank to put back on so will try that.
