Default s2 front mount intercooler query

recently bought and fitted a the new style radtec front mount intercooler for my s2 rs turbo, complete with the single 10" spal fan, that mounts to the front of the cooler

has any1 else got a set up similar to this, where by the cooler sits almost flush against the rad with the fan on the front of the cooler and blowin through?

just wondering if any1 else finds that it makes the coolant temps get quite high wen drivin slowly around town in slight traffic?? iv got the thermostat removed and the fan on permanently, but it stil doesnt seem to keep the coolant as cool as id like, can get uo to about 2/3 to 3/4 way up the temp gauge, which i dnt like. its almost like not enough air flowing over the rad maybe, but like i say fan is wired up to b on all the time, just it has to blow thru the intercooler first

the car has had a new radiator to go with the cooler, only a standard tiem but it is brand new ford item, so it is wrkin fine, and iv got plenty of coolant in the system, runnin 60/40 coolant to water.

if any1 else found this prob how did u solve it? remount cooler differently and put fan on front of rad?? twin fan??

any help would b appreciated, because i get very paranoid bout high coolant temps as i had a headgasket get fried not so long ago due to a burst water hose, so i like to keep a close eye on engine temps, dnt want a repeat occurence
