recently bought some side skirts from www.essexracing.co.uk but before i fit them im tryin to find out what people reccomend for adhesive, thinking about puttin screws in both arches and maybe 3/4 across the top and some on the underneath to the bottom of the sill part that actually points down to the floor, but what sorta glue shall i use, been told about something called silkaflex, tigerseal or what, would rather not use pop rivets, not on the sills...

worse case can always shell out for some/lots of areldite...? sure they wouldnt fall off then?!?

 

screws at each end into arch lips and underneath. get some black pop rivets for a long the top. thats how they are held on, on the rs2000 anyway so i'd assume they'l be the same. stick on with tigerseal or sikaflex to stop water and dirt getting behind them. jobs a good un.

 

cheers fellla, read the mr's bodywortk on his escort cosworth, is it menty or sumin, his are only screwd on on arch lips n underneath, looked at my mates seat leon cupra sport, hers is also only screwed on in the same manor, to that way i shall do! had em sat in my room for 3 weeks or so lol

 

Use GRIPFILL to stick it on thats what i use you can get it from any good DIY store takes 24 hours to dry but once it's dry it aint coming off

 

cheers, spoke to one of the lads last nite at the cruise bit i go to, his fiesta's are only self-tappered on works like, but still want mine gluing of sum sort, jus dont fancy going down the road n them flying off!
