no amal valve
hi i have noticed my car a xr3i running esc rs turbo engine has no amal valve is this dodgy.what does a amal valve do?
the car drives, boosts fine .70bar is this to much?
any ideas
also it takes 15-20mins in traffic to warm up and then when on motorway the temp goes back down to very bottom of temp gauge, but the heaters works fine and i have tryed earthing out temp sender and temp gauge goes red hot so does this mean my temp senders broke or a dodgy thermostat

sounds like a dodgy sender to me, possibly stat, but tbh id be rid of the stat anyways, hard wire then fan and remove stat, keeps things a bit cooler whilst in the summer months, so PJ motorsport told me to do anyways
amal valve is the boost controller i do believe. mine hasnt got 1 either, didnt get 1 with my donor engine. i simply wired up an in car bleed valve, does the same job, just have to b strong willed n not wind it too far
0.7 bar wud b about 9 or 10 psi i think, which is a bit up on standard.
hope this helps
