petrol gauge

No matter how much petrol i put in my s2 the petrol gauge wont go above a 1/4 of a tank. Any ideas?

change the clocks it sounds like one of the resistors on the back of them is u/s if this doesnt work do the sender unit but i always found that it was the gauge itself. xr3i ones are the same
