got a 4x4 sapph i hear a whining noise from the gearbox i think wen i push thje clutch down it goes but wen i release i starts whining again help plz

it could be the thrust bearing, i think all fords are proned to this

as above very common although I must admit that the ones I've had once all warmed up the noise did disappear it's whether your bother and how loud it is

input shaft bearing i would say (in the box), the noise goes when the clutch pedal is down cos the box is dissengaged (where as the clutch thrust bearing is spinning under load when the pedal is down)
