Default help!! Rs2000 questions

hi all .. great lookin forum

just purchased a K reg rs2000 mk5a and need some assistance of you bright sparks!

firstly, whereabouts can i find the engine no. on the motahs chassis? local ford dealer wont touch me car with a barge pole cos tha name reg mark doesnt appear on their computer needs to get this checked out before i get a reg doc for a stolen car a thinking

also, does anyone know where i can get an rs2000 oil sump. the current one appears to be leaking like fook and wasnt sure whether a standard escort (say 1.6L) sump would fit the same or no.

thanks in advance all

You would be better off finding the chassis number to know if it is a genuine RS2000. The RS2000 engine has its own sump and none of the other escort ones will fit as the block is actually a twin cam sierra one.
