Default help Oil pump 4 a 2wd saff

Hi there does any1 know much about high pressure oil pumps? ive just recived 1 from graham goode racing, i belive it to be a kent pump, but it has a different bottom plate on it from my original, so i reckon theyve supplyed me with a high pressure pinto pump which probabaly isnt up to the same job? They told me when i phoned them to check to just swop the plate over an everything else would be the same, is this correct do you reckon because also the price was alot cheaper than any were else!

sounds kind of right, but the bottom plate is one of the most important parts of the oil pump.

the pinto one and yb are basically the same, but the yb one has the outlet for the under piston spray bar. however, if your yb pump is old, chances are the bottom plate is worn or scored. putting that one the new pump will make it just as crap as an old pump. i would get the yb plate surface ground back to flat, and then put it on your new pump.
