i posted a question in the thread "running hot-any tips"but i can any one help in giving detailed instructions on how to fit a fan-overide switch whic will work along side the fan on a normall cycle(i.e i can turn it on when i want to,but it will still work as normal when reaching a certain temp.)i would like it to be saft as well- i've already posted this topic-and everyone has said it is easy but no one has told me hoew to do it
anyone who can help would be most grateful p.s if anyone knows where them items come from and how to get them (running hot-any tips)please let me know!

 

check ur rad wen the engines at normal operating temperature. its should be very hot at the top and warm at the bottom.my saph was runnin hot and my rad was cold at the bottom and around the fan sensor, so my fan wasnt comin on. Check the fans work by pullin off the connector of the rad temp sender, bottom of rad passenger side. short the terminals with small horseshoe nail with ignition off.fans should run wen u short connections. U shoudnt need a fan overide switch really thats wat the rad temp sender is for. but if u wanna do it jus run a wire between the two wires comin out the sensor with a rocker switch. job done. check ur coolin system period tho.loadsa ppl have problems runnin hot. if u need one ect blue temp sensor 20 quid from pj or woodfords.if urs is a 4x4, halfords thermostat number htk606 is 6 quid, better than ford stat, dunno halfords part no for 2wd stat. dont bother tryin to source pattern rad of shelf, get urs recored if its duff bout 120 quid. but check ur rad an fans b4 u do anyhtin wen the engines hot.
