Default Bailey Dump Valve

Ive just fitted a Bailey DV24 dump valve to my 3door. I have noticed that it can injest foreign material into the trottle body when its open at idle. IT also has a rather annoying whoosh. Does anyone know of any way of filtering the air going in and making the whoosh quieter?

Should keep std one, as that is silent but I think bailey do one similar to std you can then feed back to airbox.

I know what you mean. I had a Bailey dump valve on my Escort cossie, and didn’t like the possibility of debris being sucked in at idle or the very loud woosh either. I bought a Graham Goode Group A Dump Valve, Part GGR 110, http://www.grahamgoode.com/cosworth/frparts.htm that has a filter around it, and is a lot quieter. Hope this helps.

Cheers
John
