thats a common repair and also put a relay in line due to the switch o/heating

I think they make a mistake
I also had to rebuild a new circuit; in fact two: one for each fan
Most the rs and 4x2 I could see have this problem or are going to have it. I think it's because the fan's motors need more amp when they take age.
My english is really bad

glurbs,
good answer mate, and your english is perfectly understandable. it takes a lot of courage and effort to use a forum in another langage, and appreciate people like you doing it. it makes the community a better place if we have more nationalities and cultures contributing to it.
i think that you're right too. the std wiring does seem to be on the limit with new fans in good condition. when they get old, the bearings get noisy and require more power (current) to drive the fans, and this is what causes the fuse box to melt.
a cure is to rewire the circuit as already shown, and maybe fit more efficient fans that provide the same airflow capabilities using less power input.

surely the problem occurs by people sticking a larger fuse in there because it blew?
i'd imagine if ford used 10A wiring there'd be a 10A fuse?
folk get pissed off with it blowing and stick a 15a one in and its fine for a bit
then it gets a bit more worn then a 20a one goes in
etc untill the wiring melts?
the relay is the cure but the fuse is there to protect the wiring so i cant see why it would melt assuming no-one ghetto upgraded it

FORD used a 30amp fuse from factory
problem arises due to old connections into the fuse box and wiring getting tooooo hot due to being badly earthed etc
