could you put a 1600 zetec engine in a saph?

has it been done ? or can anyone reccommend a fast 1600 non turbo engine that would fit it a saph? any help would be a start.

cant see the point mate, our 1.6 mk5.5 escort is slow as shit, cant imagine what a saph would be like.
if you did want to fit it though, you'd probably have to use stuff for a mk1 and 2 escort conversion. basiclly, the exhuast and water rail, i dunno about inlet maniolds though.

If it has to be a 1.6 and you don't mind going non-ford you could use a toyota 4age engine. It's light and can be very powerfull with 125bhp-250bhp in non-turbo form from raw engineering who also do a conversion kit to fit it to a ford type 9 box.
