Tuning options on the ERST.
Hi lads. After 15 years, i'm back at the blue oval scene.
Just bought/imported myself a nice piece of a Escort RS Turbo S2. Rust free. 2 owner, garage stored and only driven in the summer. Rare these days..
Anyways..
I already own a motor from my old one that got scrapped, that I'm already planning on dismantling and refurb/upgrading this coming winther. I'm looking at making it a reliable 200-220 bhp CVH. Bottom is going to be standard Mahle, maybe better conrods, due to being on the limit and ARP bolts.Top end is going to be standard. (At least for now) - No port and polish - (i think i remember the flow was good enough to 250 bhp?)
But it already has a Kent cam with low miles in it and ARP bolts. So that will be reused.
2,5" Mongoose is a favorite for most, so that is a must. Question is just what size the tailpipe will be?
What parts do you guys run and what do you prefer?

-31 Actuator
Injectors
Airfilter
Intercooler
Exhaust
Cam
Stage 1 or 2 Hybrid Turbo
Headgasket
Is the Stage 1 Hybrid able to take more than 220 bhp or should i just go for the stage 2? And how low can the psi on the turbo be with this setup? Bare in mind, living in the Faroe Island the standard MFI will be used, due to lack of ecu tuners. (For now at least)
