Default 1.4 CVH carbs

I'm working on an Escort MK4 which at one point got its original 1.6 CVH carb engine replaced by a 1.4 CVH from a Fiesta.
It currently has a bad head so I'm putting on another head that came out of an Orion, but I have a couple of different carbs laying around and I don't know what would be the wisest.
On the Orion head is the original Weber 32/34 dmtl, but that one is in need of a tune and probably some new gaskets. On the Fiesta head there is an intake with a Ford VV carb but I have a new Weber 34 IBF laying around that was meant for another car that should bolt straight on to that manifold. That carb however was meant tot go on a 1.6 so I don't know if it would need anything like jets changed to make it work correctly on a 1.4.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this matter that might help me?

The 32/34 dmtl was fitted to 1.6 (xr2/xr3 iirc) so its as much a 1.6 carb as the 34 IBF will be.
Given the 1.4 is about as far from a performance engine as you can get, personally I'd just fit whichever is in best condition. May need a tweak in the jetting, but that kind of thing should always be checked even if a carb is designated for a particular CC
