Default Help needed refitting loose dipstick tube.

Hi. When I removed my dipstick tube on my Escort s2, it was a very tight fit and needed to be knocked out. However, a year later and I've finally got around to refit it, but when I put the tube in the block its not a tight fit at all, it virtually rattles around. Does the tube have any sort of seal that I haven't been aware of ? Can anyone please help?
Thanks

Hi there isnt any seal or anything on tube its just a push fit yours sounds like its loose/worn... you could try some kind of epoxy glue or putty to hold it in place

I used to use Loctite sleeve and bush retainer on them.

try making the tube slightly oval or out of shape slightly or even centre punch the outside to put raiesd material on it. tiger seal it tap it back in
