Good evening all I found this site trying to sort out a problem with my Transit connect and hopefully someone can help me with this issue.
Hi could someone please help with a problem I have with my battery light staying on causing battery to completely fail. So far I have change the smart charge loom and still the same. Two new alternators last one a Lucas still the same problem. All earth/ ground cable’s cleaned and still the battery light is on. Done multi meter test and alternator only charging at 12.5 v. Put a brand new battery on today and no change still got the problem. I’ve tried to reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for 24 hours and didn’t help at all. Is there a inline mega fuse in these vans. Mk1 Connect 1.8 TDCI. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
