Intake Manifold Zetec Turbo
Hey, i'm building zetec (silvertop) turbo engine, but for fully succes I need a new intake. My target is 380bhp, but... I have a problem with intake manifold. All are expensive and i'm looking for cheaper idea. I thinking for example took tuning inlet from 1.8t, Evo, Saab od Honda (in Poland ~250£) and make new flange for that. I'm mechanic, and I have a tools, so it's not a problem for me, buy I don't have time for that. Maybe anyone has a cheaper option? Inlet from Focus RS? Max +/- 450£.
P.S I saw only Inlets for 1500£... Or I'm looking for wrong pages...

hello Squfo as you know already tuning a car is usually very expencive and i am a proud owner of a mondeo mk2 - 1999 i am building my own intake and supercharging it at the moment whit a simple eaton m90 the price of a jackson racing supercharger kit iven during the pandemic is about $4000-5000 + shipping and taxes ,thats why i decided to build my own from scratch at the moment i am just missing the midle pipes i have allready done the box ,and i have found an old 1.8L (1.8 and 2.0 l zetec engines have the same size intakes) escort witch i used as a donor for the base of the manifold also a few other parts ,like throttle body ,etc... so at the moment the tottal price for all the parts + the work is around $140 for the charger it self + $17 for the aluminium for the box + the base $15 + work ~$80 oh and that includes somewhere in the middle the transition for the throttle and the proper pulley , so tottal is around : $250-350
so my advice is if you cant afford or dont wanna give tons of money for something , find some local people who can work whit a welder , angle grinder , understand your idea and will not take down your skin and build your own manifold for the turbo , or find some old posts in the forum and try to buy one from a car donor witch already is broken by some other reason like : rust ,back crashed.....
also ford tuning parts are extremely hard to find those days , thay war made like more than 15-20 eyers ago - that meens out of stock , so to find example normal aluminium (regular) intake for my mondeo its next to imppossible and the price starts at $700, for 3 eyers i found only 1 used, incomplete jackson racing supercharger kit witch included only the charger and the intake so if i had to buy that for $5000 + some other parts around $1000-2000 , well lets just say i better buy 6 more cars and go on a vacation and still have money to spend.
However theres a chance that the honda manifold may do the trick for you if your willing to drill it.
I hope that helps you! have fun!
