So i noticed what looked like a fuel leak on the floor after pulling up to my work and returning to the car, i couldnt see anything dripping from underneath and tried to start it up but it went dead shortly after.
What ive done and checked so far with help from here -
- I filled the fuel filter with Deisel and got it to start, still couldnt see any leak but once the fuel filter drained it cut out again after 5-10 minutes at idle. Obviously its not receiving fuel from the pump.
- It doesnt seem like the pump is running when i turn the ignition on.
- I cant see any fuse present from the diagram that links to the pump
- Ive looked for a fuel cut off switch but doesnt seem to be there
- How can i tell if the pump is dead? (I can use a multi meter but unsure of the wiring)
- Is there a fuse or relay that relates to the pump?
- Any other ideas?
Thanks
