Unhappy ST170 alarm going off

I've noticed that when I lock my car using the key fob, the second press will flash my indicators and therefore locking it properly (I assume this deadlocks or similar?). However, recently my alarm has been going off shortly after going inside the house, I then press the unlock button on my key which stops it, but it then continues to happen every few minutes. I've noticed that this only happens when I lock it and the indicators don't flash. I'm not sure why this is - I open my passenger and driver door and close them and this seems to fix it 50% of the time. Has anyone experienced this before, and do you know how to resolve it? Your help is greatly appreciated, thank you

Sometimes that means it thinks a door or bonnet or something is open. Check the status of any such switches.

as mentioned the sensor on the bonnet latch is main culprit for causing this simply unplug it and bridge the wires together on the plug and should cure it, done this on many focus models over the years as a common fault
