Hi guys, this may be a stupid question but am I right in saying that I should be able to switch both the final drive and 5th gear from one IB5 'box into another? I know 5th is a relatively easy job but was wondering if the FD is interchangeable; I've not taken a gearbox apart (other than some Chinese CVT on an off-road buggy anyway!) but I can't see any reason I couldn't.

Looking to swap my ST150 from 3.82 to 4.25 final drive (taken from a 1.25 MK6 Fiesta) and 5th from 0.88 to 0.76 (also taken from a 1.25) - is the final drive going to be up to the task? I've read somewhere that this ratio is also in the Racing Puma, which leads me to believe they are one and the same in which case there would be no problem at all; as for 5th, I've seen people swap to the 0.76 and know that will be fine!
