Default Lynx incorrect timing...

Hi all, looking for some advice, doing a wet belt to chain conversion on the kkda 1.8tdci,

Inserted the crank timing pin and rotated the crank till it stopped against it, in this position the cam slot isn't level, it's 10degress btdc..... the timing mark on high pressure pump pulley is also out. The engine was running but does that mean the timing was wrong or am I missing something?...

Did you get the Ford kit that comes as a cassette type deal that just fits on or did you get the after market kit that you put together yourself ? If it's the latter you mat have a tooth or two out also, are you sure you have got the right length crank pin ? Hope this helps

cam pulley is not on a woodruff key you need to undo the bolt loosen the pulley and set the cam level across the slot
