Default Mondeo mk4 battery wrong polarity

What a Muppet. I disconnected old battery and must have twisted it when putting it down. Anyway I put the new one in and got the +ve and -ve the wrong way round. Fans and the horn came on and I disconnected it. I realized to my horror the error I made. Lights and door locks work OK but engine won't start. Anyone got a good idea? Maybe immobilizer is unhappy

Seen that a few times at when when people get the jump leads on the wrong way round. It can do serious damage to electrical systems. We had one in that needed 3 new ecu’s cost the customer thousands

Reverse polarity protection diodes within the ecu will have blown fuses on those circuits. The diodes may have failed as well.
