Hi, anyone removed the ecu from an 06 ranger tdci?

I am having some issues removing it from the vehicle, it's located near the pedals on the side next to the door, but it's in some kind of metal frame.

The frame has a bracket to the body which i can feel but can't undo and the 'cover' is in 2 peices however the nuts are on the inside which means i cannot undo them due to lack of space.

Am i trying to undo the right part? anyone has any ideas how to remove it?
