Smax 2.0tdci windscreen washers not working
Hello,
I own a lovely panther black smax 2.0 tici.
Recently the windscreen washers have stopped working.
I have checked fuses 8, 9 and 22....pulled them out and did a continuity test... all good.
I then stripped the undertray to access the screenwasher reservoirr pump... took it out (and yes I got a wet arm inside my overalls !), flashed it across a spare battery and it whirled....so pump ok.
I then disconnected pipework to front bonnet washers and sucked to see if the screenwash would come through.... but it didn't - which would suggest pipe is blocked.
However, I have read that there is a one way valve with a ball bearing which can stick.
So my question is, is there a valve with a one way ball? If so how do I get to it please?
In order to get to the screenwash reservoir fully.... do I have to remove front bumper? If so is there any advice on removing it as it looks a big hefty bumper !!
Last question would be relays inside car seem to clickk, but could this fail and still click? If so where is the relay and do you know what number it is or is there an image?
Oh and finally..... does the wiper/washer ever fail? Is there a way to check the stalk switch -if so how please?
Thanks for reading - hoping you can help me.
Chris
