Default Focus RS Engine Management Light

Fitted de-cat pipe and mil eliminator. Engine management light remains on. Disconnected then re-connected battery. Light stayed off. Drove car for 5 miles and stopped. When re-started engine, the light came on again. Can anyone help? Tks.

I'm guessing here, is the 'MIL eliminator' a device that replaces the HEGO after the cat and it's simply a zener diode that supplies 1.0v back to the ecu to fool it that the cat is still there? If yes, is the MIL eliminator working?
