Hi all new here so please bare with me.

Hi picked up a 2004 mondeo 2.0 tdci that won't start I have purchased a F super code reader and not showing up any codes
The car tries to start for a split second then dies ( smokes and smells of unburnt fuel ) however if I unplug injector (cylinder 4 ) the car will tick over slow but will not rev. I have checked the codes for the injectors and there all there ( have just read a post with different firing order will check it tomorrow ) am I wrong in thinking that No 4 is damaged. Any advice would be great thanks
