Default CVH injector seals change (help)

Anyone got any tips on changing cvh injector seals? Or can tell me what I've done wrong? It was an absolute bastard to get the injectors back in with the new seals on them and now the car is running ruff and cutting out because it's dragging air in at the injectors (I can hear is hissing from that area)
Help! 🙁

We're the seals the right size? Sounds like they were too large and have rolled over or been pinched?

As above, were they definitley located in the injector groove. Did you fit new sleeves over them as these usually crack/are beyond their best.
And presume you clamped them all down properly too?

They're usually not 'that' difficult to refit with new seals so does seem odd you had troubles

Yeah I would say they are correct they are from Burton power.

I pushed the seal up and into the groove on the injector and pushed it into the white plastic tube on the San which plate (would you call these the sleeve?) But they were extremely hard to get in there even with a little oil to lubricate. Eventually I did it but I think I have pinched them as said above or broken one!
What am I doing wrong? Haynes manual does not help!

The sleeve should come out with the injector as it sits above the seal not under it so sounds like these are either fitted backwards or are absolutely fucked (therefore leaking air).

And yer, sleeve = "white plastic tube"

Ahhr right ok yes my injector came out without the sleeve so I presumed they were meant to stay in the sandwich plate. Seems I might have to force them out and replace with new ones. Any idea where sells them if I do need to replace them?

Ive got mine from a wide variety of motorfactors over the years. Takes longer to explain what they are than actually fit them

Oh yeah I can just 8magine standing there "they are like a plastic tube thing that goes over the injector but not the seal or 'o' ring, it goes on top like a cover" and blank expression on the retailers face!

Thanks a lot for your help pal. Hopefully I won't need new one but I've got a set of new seals on the way so will have another crack at it this weekend. Wish me luck!
