Default 1900 cvh advise needed

Hi, got a 1900 cvh that I built a while back. Gets hot and struggles to cool down especially on track ( was near red) it's a 1600 block bored and lined to 83mm with a 1900 crank with corresponding machining to make it fit- my question is do you think the block and mods could be the problem? I realise this set up is far from ideal but I'm reluctant to go Zetec. Want to squeeze a bit more power out of it but but the temperature worries me. It's got a big front mount grs so maybe a air flow problem? Was pushing 120mph at points so you'd think the air would force it's way through? Also what,s the best turbo to be running? It's got a .36 housing at the mo so runs out of puff up top fast? What's the most psi you'd run on the standard 1900 "banana"rods? Your help and expertise appreciated so thanks in advance
