Zetec 2.0 turbo psi
Hi. This is the first time I've posted. I've researched different threads in various places about "safe" psi on 2.0 silver top turbo. I know I'll get the whole 'should have done it properly' etc, but here is the basic spec of engine.
-standard Pistons/rods
-decomp plate (I know I know)
-arp bolts in con rods
-uprated valve springs
-lightened flywheel
-vxr injectors
-pectel t2 management
Etc etc
The question I have is. What psi? Many contradicting info I've gained got me thinking.
I'm not expecting a bullet proof animal.
Roughly, is 10psi 200bhp and is 11psi around 220bhp?
I'm tempted with 11psi but wondered if anybody else has experience.
Ps the car is built and running, just waiting mot and mapping session.
Thanks in advance

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
Having talked to Bailey performance he has indicated 250bhp is max. Around 14psi but this depends on lots of things. He also says no need for a decomp plate if you make sure there is no det.

No matter what turbo it is, if the pressure is the same, the turbo will always be flowing the same amount of air. The only thing that would change this is if the volume of space increases, by either a bigger capacity engine or longer boost pipes/bigger intercooler etc.

Always a pleasure!
What's the spec of your T3, a RST T3 flows a lot less air than a 4wd Cossie T3 for example?
Boost pressure is relative to an engines VE and is no indication of flow... a small T3 at 10psi will make much less power than a larger T3 at the same boost pressure because it flows much less air... the smaller T3 is restrictive and decreases the engines VE.

That's incorrect mate...

Ive seen these run 200bhp on a 1.8 zetec engine with a decomplate at 10 psi with t3 turbo and ofab managment using beige injectors.Fueling was a bit rich but ran great
