Default MK6 2.4 TDDI Urgent repair needed. All help appreciated..

Van broke down and in desperate need of fixing it for work. All help appreciated and ill post as many updates as possible.

2006 MK6 2.4 TDDI with 156k on clock.

Its been running fine apart from a tapping noise that I was convinced was slowly getting louder over the last month, but put it down to me listening for it so hard. Ive been checking levels, cleaned and blanked Egr valve, fixed airbox and stopped air thumping noise, fitted new alterantor as that failed too.

Checked codes using Fordiag regularly and only really had a code relating to throttle pedal occasionally.

YESTERDAY's UPDATE:

Driving to london, got 300 miles and tapping got noticably louder.
I would say 5 miles further on I experienced serious loss of power. It struggled to pull and wouldnt go over 3000 rpm and getting quickly worse.
Another mile and very loud tapping/rattling/chattering sound and it starting dying very instantly.
Dipped clutch, got bang and shudder and engine cut out so had to roll to a stop on hard shoulder.

Had a quick look. lifted filler cap and was steaming or smoking though engine had not overheated. Oil level still ok, water level ok. No signs of obvious problems.
When trying to turn over it sounds like the timing is way out.
It did start after being sat a while but soounded like bag of nails so turned off immediately.

I had tried to carry on for the couple miles to get off the motorway as I was currently on the M25 in rush hour but only got those 3 miles :-(

Got recovered by the RAC last night and so today I've started the investigations.

Fordiag plugged in revealed 2 codes:

P1564 Injection Pump Control Module Requesting Reduced Fueling

P1319 Injection timing piston position sensor circuit range/performance

Also noticed this, though not show if relavent in this situation:
