Default No brake lights.

I have a Ford Focus, 2002, CL, 1400 petrol.
No brake lights, even the centre high one. Have checked bulbs and fuses all ok. Have disconnected brake switch and no change. I'm stumped!

I undestood that disconnecting the brake light switch would cause the lights to be on continuously. Maybe that's wrong?

Any help appreciated.

Sorted! It was the brake switch. Lucas replacement was only £8 and easy to fit - no tools required as it's a twist quarter turn to lock in position type.

Thanks for your help.
