Recently had my 2011 transit connect services at a main dealer, since getting it back it's got a really annoying habit of over revving when changing gear, right through 1st to 5th. When I take my foot off the accelerator the revs can rise between 250 and 1000 which makes it sound like I'm riding the clutch or can't drive properly, anyone have any idea what it could be?

 

Throttle pedals are common for making them idle high

 

Is the oil level ok? Exact same thing happened my a mate's vivaro after a service, they had put 3 litres too much oil in it.

 

to be honest I've not checked since its service but i will do now

 

Hi did you manage to solve the issue with the over revving as I have a 2012 ford connect and it is doing exactly the same thing so annoying we have put a new clutch switch on, checked injectors been to 2 garages so getting a bit fed up with it now.
