Default Help with ERST into Orion Efi starting problems

Hi all new to Ford building after being converted to the blue oval from the griffin lol.

Basically the car I have was a running 1.6 cvh efi ghia I, what I've done is fit a fully rebuilt 1.6 escort rs turbo cvh with the efI management from the original car.

After reading up and buying a few bits which were surplus to requirements I have a few spares i.e coil packs a spare loom converted to ofab that was fitted to a mk2 fiesta turbo, heads etc etc, I decided to try and use the loom already in the orion as it would be a lot tidier.

I read I needed to do 2 physical pin changes which would effect 3 pins, they were...

Pin 27 to pin 8
Pin 45 to pin 27
Leaving 45 now empty

I cranked the car over and had no spark initially after a play with an electrical tester I found there was a break in the crank sensor wire this was probably due to fitting the starter in the dark. Anyway so that's been replace and still no spark..

I then reverted the pin changes and fitted the original eev ecu from the orion with the thought that it would at least tick over but not rev properly.. still no spark and whilst theres fuel to the fuel rail the plugs are dry.

I would really appreciate some advice if anyone is in the know or has some suggestions... I'm based in redditch west midlands I'm happy to pay someone to come and have a look at my unit..

Thanks all...
