My ford KA Zetec is having troubles with the acceleration. When the car first starts up, the Rev counter goes up to 3000 revs and back down to 1000 revs and continues to go up and down without touching the acceleration. Also, when driving the car if you take your foot of the acceleration it continues to accelerate at that speed and doesnt slow down unless you break. I don't know what could be causing this problem but I would like to know so I could get the problem fixed and know exactly what I need to fix it.
My KA is a 57 Reg

 

Could be the idel speed control unit. Also check your vacuum pipes are all ok.
