I have a 1.3 endure fiesta 2001 flight


I'm new here but this is the issue I'm having. I have bought a aftermarket rev counter and everywhere I read it talks about this green wire that the wire on the rev counter needs to work and I cant find anywhere all I see is 3 black wires and I have tapped into all of them and nothing the rev counter moves to like 1000 RPM from 50 RPM when the car is sitting at like 4000RPM. The rev counter has 3 settings on the back 4 6 8 and I have it at 4 for the 4 cylinders. Basically the instructions say connect it to the negative coil wire. Please help me ASAP want to get it over and done with stressing me out.
