Default No power

I've got a little problem with my XR2i 16v. First thing in the morning it'll start but as soon as it's under load it misfires until its started to warm up a little. It really sounds like it's on two or three cylinders. Once it’s warm and running the power will come and go through the rev range.

Initially I thought that the CAT had collapsed but I've had that out tonight and it looks to be in one piece. I've also checked the plugs and they look to be the right colour.

As far as I'm aware it's completely standard.

Has anyone any ideas what might be causing this lack of power?

Fanx

Nick
