T34-t35-t36 for 400/400 quick q help
I'm building 400spec cossy engine ATM, looking at different turbo specs...
From what I've read.....
T34. Good for up to 400 but won't last long due to being spun to its limit
T36. Good for 500 ish but lots more lag than t34 and not good for road car specs.
So question is, can you rebuild a t36 with a different exhaust wheel,(and possibly a new billet wheel) and shave off the lag but keep a bit of the power/reliability?

Yes but you would be better off with a far more modern turbo like the Borg Warner efr and twin scroll manifold. 500 capability so easily do 400 and massively quicker spool time than any of those. I found a t34 to be quite laggy.

I've got a couple of t34 needing rebuilt, I could go hybrid unit, and spec just under 400
Or thought about maybe bigger unit and getting it working better, maybe making t35 spec?
Don't really want to go to expense of 1500 pound twinscroll etc etc'
