205 GTI Rally car wiper setup - XR2I project update
Hi all,
My XR2I has been sat for too long and my friend who was supposed to be painting it keeps messing me around so i dropped it off at the body shop last friday, hopefully be nice and shiny in a week or so, But back to what im here for...
Basicly im helping my brother out with his 205 rally car and we had a custom loom built by RAPID FIT LOOMS and all seemed well, we asked him to install intermitent wipers and wash wipe thingy.
Well other than him missing off the front indicators a few engine sendors it wasnt to bad, but nothing on the wipers is working. I have managed to get High, Low and wash and 4 wipes going on the water button press but cannot for the life of me figure out how to get intermitent going, he supplied us with the following relay:
http://www.12voltplanet.co.uk/12v-un...sec-delay.html
But i have wired it up how they have said and many other ways but can only get it on constant. possible faulty relay? When i remove the cover it smells some what, Electrical burnt. Im not sure, this is really holding up the build as we cannot put the dash in until its figured out.
Any insight would help

The 205 stalks do fail a lot so check they are not throwing up bad connections.

We are not using the stalk, just on - off - on switches one for high & off & low and on - off for intermittent and off.
But we cant get intermittent working
