Default xr3i efi running problems

Hi,

I have an xr3i thats been off the road for some time.

Its an efi lump

Basically, it idles rough and feels a bit nder powered. If i unplug the temp sender on the RHS of the 'EFI' wording on the inlet, once the car is warm, it idles much better and stops trying to stall.

So i have done;

New idle control vavle (well - replaced with a known good one)
Replaced that sender (think its called the charge/air temperature sender)
Oil and filter change

I cant help but wonder if the mixture screw thing that sits near the battery is faulty... and when the temp sender is plugged in, it reads from this and get a shit reading... so when it is unplugged, the car just goes onto a base map.

Help

Im in Colchester if there's any locals who have some knowledge. Its running and driving but i want it to be pukka as its the gf's daily.

Not 100% on these but try a new engine temperature sensor. Might be telling the ECU its running cold, when the inlet is hot, when you unplug the inlet temp sensor they will both have a corresponding value and make the engine run as if its cold, will idle higher and a lot better.
