MK2 escort rear corner were to cut?
I'm cutting the rot out of this rear quater corner panel where the rear n/s light fits.
Now we're would be the best place to cut?! On either of these two lines or somewhere else?

I cut mine straight down and joggled one edge to get a neat overlap. It was a bigger section than yours but worked out ok. Measure twice cut once and you will be fine

Sorry for late reply I been on nights. I would cut straight down the red line on your photo. That's what I did on mine but I had to cut a bigger section out due to damage and rot. Once cut out I used a joggler to joggle the cut edge to put a lip in it. Then cut the replacement panel to size so that it fits over the joggled lip and weld it up. Sorry no photos of mine .
