Default Focus ST2 Oil seprator

Hi guys,
Have to have this replaced recently on my ST and annoyed to find it's not covered by the warranty as not designated as a 'mechanical' or 'electrical' part.
I thought that surely that something so important to the correct running of the engine and breathing could be counted as mechanical as if not repaired could cause considerably more and more expensive repair bill to integral mechanical parts.??

Opinions and assistance please.

Brian

Sounds like a shady policy, its a critical part of the engine.

Cheers Studabear, that's the impression I got having read one of the dated threads on the Focus ST section to help my self diagnosis.

Tbh I'm pretty pissed off with the warranty company which is Warrantywise, fronted up by Quentin Wilson.

Any other opinions or professional comments welcomed
