Default S Max Problem

My old folks have a 2007 S Max in which the indicators are playing up, basically they don't cancel and just flick from one side to the other even when the car is turned off it still does it with the parking lights. Have anyone ever come across this before or have any idea what would cause it?

You don't even have to touch the stalk, it does it all by itself

I've been looking through TALKFORD for info and i've just signed up to the S MaxOC. I've also tried some local Ford dealers but they are useless as always
