I can understand your comment re internet. However, I have been trying to research this for days now and had an auto elec. try to find it. My Scorpio is quite unique, it being the last of its type off the production line so is not run of the mill. I had hoped that with the combined knowledge of all on this forum, someone would be willing to help a fellow subscriber. A telephone number of a knowledgeable person will help.

Does the engine turn over?

Is it sparking?

Thanks for your reply. The engine turns over but will not start, my mechanic has found a chaffed lead but wants to check the immobiliser unit also, he cannot find it in the engine compartment and does not want to remove the dashboard unnecessarily that is why I was hoping a member could confirm the position of the immobiliser unit.

You asked this exact same question a few days ago. You seriously need to take the car to someone who knows what they are doing.
