Hello ,
I have recently rebuilt my S1 , it still has the standard MFI etc. The problem I'm having is the fuel pump seems to prime when I move the wiper stalk (after starting the car ) . It runs ok but also cuts out after a drive ( this could be the metering unit a set up ) but the priming issue has me stumped . I also noticed it primed the other day as I took the key out of the ignition Ie. Turned the engine off . Any thoughts? I know about checking earths etc. So ideally looking for someone to put a new angle on this many thanks !

 

Make sure the pump loom is not tied into the wiper stalk loom lol, sounds a bit daft but if it is then potentially maybe not having ur wipers on means no fuel pump n car won't run???? How's that angle lol... Odd situation mate if u sort it I'd like to no wot the problem was
