Default Underheating S2 RST

My rs doesnt get hot enough and no one seems to have a clue whats wrong. On the normal (std) gauge and an aftermarket one which is plugged into the top hose, the temps are low.The aftermarket one shows 50 deg C and the heater blows warm. Not warm enough at 3 in the morning.I have changed the thermostat and it made no difference. If the heater matrix was blocked then I would expect the engine to run hot because the water cannot circulate can it?The only thing I have noticed is that when you unscrew the header tank cap there is no pressure so I bought a new one which has made bugger all difference.I am concerned that the oil temp might get high as today I noticed on the motorway that the oil temp went to 90 deg C.Never seen it that high.In a nut shell the warm air from the heater confirms what the gauges are telling me but what the hell can it be.Oh and the control rods to the heater flaps are all ok?any ideas please guys?

likely, but overheating generates pressure and steam from out the header cap..

I have 2 gauges and they say the same. There is one each side of the thermostat.Just let it run on the drive and the fan is cutting in?Must be fooked gauges and a blocked heater matrix and possibly a pump.
