Default newbie needs cam help :)

i have just bought a s2 cam & followers with the intention of fitting them in my xr3i....is this ok?...how would it run?

They will fit fine, but I'm sure I read somwhere that the cam in a turbo is the same profile as a 1.3.

The power delivery is very different for turbo's and 3i's so you may find it very flat.

May be better to get a cam from an RS1600i or something

The duration of a cam in a turbo'd engine is quite different to a normally aspirated so i would agree with rich and go for something similar to a 1600i

cams are the same in the turbo and 3i and the 1.6 etc....

will work fine!!

I hope you bought brand new though , as second hand cams are fit for the bin matey

standard cams are the same,
aftermarkets vary,
ie kent cam kc35 is apparently only suited for turbo's
